Two siblings, one vision. Together, Catherine and Julius lead Veura, blending complementary human-centered expertise in People Analytics and UX Design. Their shared passion for understanding people, practicing empathetic leadership, solving complex problems, and creating innovative solutions guides Veura’s purpose.


CEO & Founder, Veura
Catherine brings nearly 20 years of experience in People Analytics, Data Science, and Business Strategy. Before founding Veura, she spent a decade in Microsoft’s HR Business Insights team, helping leaders use data to shape organizational strategy and impact. She has also led high-performing consulting teams supporting global companies such as Intel, Microsoft, GitHub, VMware, and Qlik, spearheading data-driven initiatives in financial, marketing, sales, and product analytics.
Her educational background consists of quadruple bachelor degrees in Business Administration (Human Resource Management), Economics, Chemistry, and Biochemistry from the University of Washington. She’s enhanced her education through professional certificates and intensive training in Data Science from Metis and Effective Communication & Human Relations from Dale Carnegie. Fueled by relentless curiosity and a growth mindset, she finds joy in always learning, expanding her skillset, and staying sharp on industry trends.
Outside of Veura, Catherine is passionate about helping foster educational and career opportunities for underrepresented and underprivileged communities. She co-founded Diversity in Data Science (DiDS) and serves as its Board President. She has also been a Women in Data Science (WiDS) Ambassador since 2019, co-chaired WiDS Puget Sound Conferences, and served as a Board Director for Accessifiers. She also shares her data-related knowledge as a guest lecturer at universities.


CXO (Chief Experience Officer), Veura
With more than 15 years of expertise in User Experience, Julius has worked across a range of industries and roles, including UX + Instructional Design with T-Mobile, UX Research with Xbox Game Studios at Microsoft, UX Leadership with 98point6 Technologies, and academic research with the University of Washington. His diverse background has given him a deep understanding of workplace cultures and dynamics. He has designed a large portfolio of products, from health care solutions, B2B sales platforms, and robust enterprise-wide training programs influencing over 110K+ users on a daily basis. Julius has earned multiple accolades for his performance, including T-Mobile’s Annual Winners Circle Award, presented to the top <1% of employees company-wide.
Julius holds a Master of Science in Human Centered Design & Engineering (User-Centered Design) from the University of Washington, where he also earned two bachelor’s degrees, a BS in Human Centered Design & Engineering (Human-Computer Interaction) and a BA in Communication (Technology and Society; Social Interaction). He has also completed leadership programs through Delft University of Technology and holds a certificate in Effective Communication & Human Relations from Dale Carnegie.
Julius also enjoys sharing his User Experience knowledge and expertise within his community. He has served as a Board Member for the Human Centered Design & Engineering Alumni Leadership Board, supporting connections between UW students and alumni. Julius has also volunteered as a UX Guest Lecturer for the Association for Talent Development and as a member for UX Strat, where he taught and advocated for the user-centered design process in day-to-day UX work. As an established mentor, Julius continues to guide and inspire aspiring UX designers and researchers around the world.
